Who Stole My Crayons?

week one of 2010 as far as work goes can suck it.  i just moved my office from super tiny closet to slightly larger closet only to find that our VP is trying to get us moved to another building.  if i have to move all that shit again i am really going to be pissed!

been real good about getting to work early and working hard to get everything from 2009 caught up and new projects i’m getting on track for 2010.  however it seems the harder i work, the further behind i get and it getting on my damn nerves already.

classes at the y started this week, pilates is already kicking my ass and aqua fit starts today.

but the boys are happy and doing well and i have 4 day work weeks the entire month of january (this week is a four day weekend)

well time to get ready for class..

so i actually had a dream. actually i probably dream a bunch but i just usually never remember any of them.  this morning is did.

it was a seemingly long bizzarre dream which lots of uneventful silliness and strangness that i won’t get into… but then i was in a weird office and someone i didn’t really know came up and just laid me off. wtf? then someone i do know at work (who is not known to be pleasant) came up and was like here’s your packet and handed me the infamous white envelope.  then she smiled and walked away. (not a fake smile the big ‘haha’ smile)

i was pissed, really pissed (asshats) and had a mini hissy fit including throwing my crappy work phone, making a loud statement alone the lines of ‘are you serious? this is bullshit’ and i left.  then i woke up and i was pissed. lol

so now i sit here an wonder, was the dream a product of unending stress at work that includes more job responsibility changes and constant worry about the next ‘redcution in force’ or it a preminission of things to come….  hummmmm….. i think i’ll be working on my resume later just to be safe (and secretly stash some boxes so i can slowly bring some personal stuff home from my office)

been a bit crazy with multiple layoffs at work and another rumored to be soon (but i’m still there), but no raises, no bonus’, no 401k match… wonder what they will cut next?

my job roles have changed at least 3 times and i just got my 2009 goals (and the year is half freakin over)  luckily some are done but one won’t make the timeline, oh well tough shit

harddrive in the lappy died last month, thank goodness for applecare because i about had a coronary thinking it was dead and luckily had backed up the entire harddrive 2 weeks before-only lost some music and itunes was nice enough to let me re-download it

finally recognized/realized that i cannot take two college classes, work full time, take care of 3 ferret, keep the condo semi clean and stay sane all at the same time.  new plan it for one class at a time (yes it will take longer but oh well) and set asside some me time

decided to change my major to information systems management with a minor in business admin since i do so much IT crap now may as well get paid for it (plus way more options in that field)  i wonder if i’ll ever finish school at this point

well off to make dinner that i should have started half an hour ago but was busy goofing off with the boys

songs i’m obscessed with this week and are on repeat- ‘Fuck that Shit’ and ‘Shut up and Swallow’ by Combichrist (always good tunes to listen to on your way to the work hole)

fun ferret fact of the week- no matter how many toys P has or steals, he always HAS to have what ever i happen to have at the moment. ‘no pep thats mommys beer!’

strange thing recently done- got a freakin my space page. but yoda made me some AWESOME custom wallpaper for it out of pictures of my boys!! she’s the greatest

health/fitness- as i am unhappy with the size of my ass, i joined the ymca with yoda mid to late january. we have a schedule and i think i might have a muscle! (gasp) also this week we started core conditioning (aka evil ab killing class from hell) and aqua fitness (not as easy as you’d think) a few pounds have been lost so far and some shape changes….. wish me luck

bjb invited me to go to chicago for the day to watch a baseball came. i don’t know much about baseball but i think it might be fun so i’ll go. wow! i never go anywhere and it will be good company

work- work sucks but thats why they pay you. my boss left and there have been some peoples ‘let go’ but i’m still there. (partly because no body wants my crappy stuff) lol

last year sucked pretty much but am trying to make a concerted effort to not let this one suck too.

i looked at my clock this morning and saw it was july 1st…. when the fuck did that happen? damn half the year is gone already and i haven’t started anything i wanted to do this year….which is kind of sad….. but oh well, what ya gonna do?
where did june go? let me think… work, work more work, meetings, projects at work, school, homework, reading for school, clean ferret poo… ferret medical issues and vet visits…work, school….cleaning around the house, homework, more poo, more work projects….at least i got spend most of yesterday with my chicas and go swimming for hours! (i even managed to avoid getting sun burnt to a crisp)

what do i get to look forward to in july?  besides work, school and ferrets?  a paid day off from work- always a good thing; manson concert- woohoo! can’t wait; maybe i’ll manage to get my room painted; midterms- lucky me; more projects for school- yippee….

speaking of projects…. i have a case study due at midnight that i haven’t started yet… thank god it only has to be two pages long…

where the fuck have i been you ask? i have no fuckin idea…. i blinked after my last final and now its mid june….. damn… bad me
lots of shit has gone on. some good, some crappy, some bad, some what ever and one very sad

i did make it through finals and even ended up with an A and a B in my classes. i have no idea how i managed that but i’ll take it.
summer classes started right after labor day and suck

work is a freakin hectic, busy as shit, pain in my ass but it pays good so what can you do. (try not to yell at stupid people who annoy you on purpose which is easier said than done some days)
celebrated bjb’s b-day in june, cool party and happy hour, also managed to mostly avoid my birthday all together. (which is usually my preference)

spent a 5 day labor day in a little town on the eastern shore with yoda and the blonde. might do a separate blog for that and our adventures

did a lot of cleaning around the house and tried to get my shit in order, cleaned, organized and figure out what the hell was/is going on

i lost my poor edward weasel the 10th of june. he had bilateral adrenal disease and we went to see a vet who specializes in surgery for ferrets in bethesda (which is a fun drive in am rush hour from baltimore) he made it through surgery with flying colors and was doing well. unfortunately he threw a blood clot and passed away.

the boys and i made a donation to a ferret shelter in memory of edward and they have been keeping my mind off it by DRIVING ME CRAZY. but thats what they are good at, little cute fuzzy brats.

well thats enough for this installment, the loud crash that just occurred tells me i need to go see what the boys have gotten into now.
