so last night i sat on (aka babysat) vance for yoda.
i got to watch 1.5 hours of whats new scooby do while having a static electricity fight with a four year old. i’m pretty sure he won the battle but i won the war of bedtime.
vance is a good kid and i don’t mind sitting him, at least as long as he has healthy respect for my authority (aka until he’s about twice as old as he is now)

its been a rough year so far.
layoffs at work- i still have a job but lost a lot of friends which really sucks. its becoming a frequent occurrence for lots of people in all industries. very stressful for those who left and those who are left.
lots of stuff to do at work- inherited some more tasks and there is more pressure to produce. i’m behind and feel buried even though i’ve done more in the 2 weeks this then an average month. luckily tomorrow is a holiday for me so i’m hoping to get a bunch of stuff caught up. which is good because i have a bunch of projects getting ready to come down from my manager.
had to replace the hot water heater- while cleaning and organizing the upstairs closet i noted a bunch of rust along the bottom of the old one. so rr had to get a new one before the old one broke and flooded. ouch, they aren’t cheap
school starts today- and my course schedules are packed. it going to be crazy busy between work and my two courses this semester. it seems like i am already behind…. lol….
but there are good things too- the cars paid off so there is a bit less finacial pressure on my budget, my friend ccb is getting ready for an awesome vacation to scotland, all he furry kids are healthy and going to a pet expo next weekend. been eating better then usual and lost a little. starting back up at the y this week with yoda.
just have to remember to breathe……
while randomly surfing the interwebs this morning while watching the irritating news, i cam across a new blog that i found interesting. i’ll be keeping an eye on it to see where it goes
